A Step-By-Step Guide to Making a Product Upload

Today, we're going to walk you through the process of making a product upload. We'll provide you with a template containing all the necessary information you'll need to fill in. We've also created a video tutorial to help further explain How to Make a Product Upload. The CSV file needed for import is attached to this article. The blue highlighted fields are required and the yellow ones are optional. If you need further assistance, please reach out to Customercare@shippingpilot.co

Required Information

  • SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
  • Product Name
  • Barcode
  • Price
  • Cost
  • HS Code (Important for international shipping)
  • Weight
  • Length
  • Width
  • Height
  • Custom Price (if applicable)
  • Description
  • Country of Origin (crucial for international shipments)
  • Vendor (Ensure each product has a vendor assigned)

Template Details

Some columns in the template, such as "On Hand," "Available," and "Allocated," are for reference purposes and don't require input during the upload process.

Images: While you won't upload images directly in the template, they will be included if you download the file.

File Management

Once all product information is filled in, save the file as a CSV (Comma-Separated Values).

Keep the CSV file easily accessible for the next step.

Uploading Products

  1. Navigate to your store's inventory section.
  2. Select "Import Products" and then "Import CSV."
  3. Choose the CSV file you saved earlier.
  4. Initiate the import process.

Troubleshooting

During the import, you'll receive progress indicators. If there are any issues with the upload, a red error message will appear, indicating the problem.
