Steps for Creating a New SKU


  1. Determine if this SKU is going to be live in your store and sync with Packiyo or if it will only exist in Packiyo.

    1. If this product is NOT going to be live in your store please read this article, Creating a Product in Packiyo.

    2. If this product is going to be live in your store and sync with Packiyo, the SKU will sync within 24 hours of being live in your store.

  2. Fill out the New SKU Form.

Q. Why would I use a SKU that is not live in my store?

A. This is a common use for stores that have kits or bundles that come as a package and contain SKUs that are not sold separately in their store.



Q. Why is the New SKU Form needed if my product will sync automatically within 24 hours?

A. This will alert our team of the incoming SKU and provide any special instructions needed to ship it. Additionally, this gives us a reference point for when the SKU was created should we need it.



Q. Are there any requirements for SKU creation?

A. While we do not have SKU requirements we strongly recommend following our SKU Best Practices.
